Fleet repair inquiries and estimate questions

Send the vehicle details and damage to Orange Coast, or find answers about the first estimate and work uncovered during inspection.

Tell us what happened to the vehicle

Include the make and model, the damaged area and the best way to reach you. A unit number helps identify the vehicle when several similar vans are involved. Describe a door that sticks, a gap that changed or a damaged loading opening as well as the dent or scrape.

Shelving, racks, partitions and equipment near the impact can affect access to the bodywork. Mention those installations in the inquiry. For more than one vehicle, give each a separate damage description.

What the first estimate can show

The initial estimate describes the repair work that can be identified at that stage. A closer inspection may require removing trim or other parts to reveal damage underneath. That is why the amount of damage visible from outside is not always the full repair.

Additional damaged parts or access work can change the estimate. The revised explanation should identify the added work and cost. Additional repairs require authorization before they are carried out.

A question about an estimate you already have

Name the vehicle and the part of the estimate you want explained. Useful questions include whether a panel is being repaired or replaced, why an adjacent panel is included in the paintwork and whether damaged lettering is part of the job.

Orange Coast handles bodywork and paint repair inquiries at the Fountain Valley shop. Use the inquiry form to send the damage details or your estimate question, with your preferred contact information.

Repair question

Why can the estimate change after parts are removed?

Removal can reveal damage that could not be seen during the first inspection, including affected attachments, panel edges or parts behind the exterior. The revised estimate should explain the additional work and cost before those repairs are authorized.
